“One of the deep secrets of life is that all that is really worth doing is what we do for others.”

Chris & Laura - a husband and wife team

From the minute I gained some independence aged twelve I understood the meaning of graft, being brought up with the mindset that if you want something, you’ve got to go out and get it. On my 12th birthday I lined up a paper round at my local shop. This was the kickstart of my career and laid down the foundations of a strong work ethic. Over the years I have gained valuable experience ranging from engineering to house building acquiring various qualifications along the way. When our front door broke I undertook the repair myself and really enjoyed doing it. This was a lightbulb moment and so I educated myself and spent spare time tinkering around. I undertook repairs for friends and family and then took the step to go to college and gain a City and Guilds qualification in locksmithery. With my wife’s skill set in accounting and marketing, it seemed to be a no brainer to create this business and Longs Locks was born. Between us we make things happen and this business is everything we could have ever wished for.

Laura and I met in 2008 and it has been uphill since then! We live in Brayton, Selby and have two beautiful children, Nyla and Maisy. We got married in 2018 and we are so proud of everything we have achieved over the last fifteen years together.

We are a family run business and our customers are at the heart of what we do. We feel that our customers deserve to be given the best service we can possibly offer. We pride ourselves on our values: working with a high level of integrity, honesty and trust. We carry a positive mindset and create solutions not problems. We are certain that with this approach, we can make good things happen and deliver a 110% service for our customers.

This business is a new exciting chapter for us and we thank you for taking the time to read our story. Get in touch, we are always happy to help.
